The time has come to start thinking about our annual Banquet. We take a moment to recognize the casts, staff, and family and friends that made this year happen. Be sure to reserve your spot, pay your dues, and enjoy the night at Der Dutchman; for this is the last time we will ever come together as this group. Next year will be a different group. This group can never be replicated. Make memories.
We are currently looking to add our history page back to the website. It will be located on the Alumni section of the website and should be up shortly after WGI Championships weekend. I am looking for pictures, stories, scores, and any information from our Alumni that you'd like to see on our website. Please send all information about the history of our guards to our Alumni@art101online.com email.
Central Ohio Winter Color Guard and Percussion is pleased to announce the return of Art101 to active competition for the 2008 season!
2008 will be the seventeenth season of Independent competition for Art101, where they will perform in Winter Guard International (WGI) and Mid-East Performance Association (MEPA) events, as well as compete in the newly-formed Ohio Indoor Performance Association (OIPA).
"We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of positive support from our alumni and veteran members by this announcement," says Kriss Davis, Executive Director of Central Ohio Winter Color Guard and Percussion. "We could not be more pleased with the response and simply cannot wait for auditions and the season to begin, and we look forward to the return of Art101 to the competitive arena."
Hi all,
Well, just this past Wednesday, a couple of your alumni met up halfway
across the world! It just so happens that Jen Conkle's fiancee goes to my
same uni, Griffith. Both sporting the buckeye gear, Adam and I met up on
campus, me with a couple of friends and him with a classmate of his. We all
headed over to their apartment, only about 10 minutes away from campus!
They were both very welcoming, wonderful hosts. Adam went all out and cooked
some kangaroo meat patties, hot dogs, and corn! Oh how we mid-westerners
loved the corn! It was funny because me and two of my friends that I brought
with me from Indiana were all sitting on the same side of the table, chowing
down on the corn. You know you're from Ohio when....haha.
It was so exciting to speak to someone who knows what you are talking about
when it comes to everything back home! Being both from Watterson and art, we
had so much to talk about and I had so much to catch her up on! It was very
interesting to realize the same people that we knew.
Right before we left, I really wanted to take a picture of us to send to
you...this is us in her apartment....
Well, less than a month and I will be home! I am officially done with 2 of
my classes right now since I don't have any finals, which is really nice! I
can now just focus on my 4000 word marketing report due the day before I
leave...then relax in NZ and Fiji. aaaahhhh....
talk to you soon, Suzanne Williams
A comment fro our Director Kriss:
We are so proud of Suzanne and can't wait until she comes back to all of
us in the Winter guards and Back into Caren and I life.
