INERTIA Indoor Percussion Ensemble will be holding open auditions on Sunday,
November 4, 2007 for all prospective members. In addition, there will be a
technique workshop on Sunday, October 21, 2007 for those who wish to audition to
become familiar with the general technique that we will perform with all season;
however, everyone is welcome to participate in the workshop, if only to gain
experience. There is no charge for the workshop. Positions available in the battery are snare drums, multi-tenors, and bass drums; the front ensemble will consist of marimbas, vibraphones, xylophone, bells, an auxiliary rack, and more. In addition, there will be an electric guitar, bass guitar, and synthesizer. For those who wish to audition on the guitars or synthesizer, please contact us to set up an audition. Audition Information: Date: Sunday, November 4, 2007 Time: 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm Location: Vineyard Church of Columbus Community Center Gymnasium, 6000 Cooper Road, Columbus, Ohio 43081 (map to Vineyard) Cost: $35.00 (includes one meal) If you are interested in auditioning for INERTIA, please fill out and submit our interest form. While INERTIA Indoor Percussion Ensemble should have enough battery percussion equipment for these two events, you may wish to bring your own drum to the workshop and to the auditions. Front ensemble equipment will be provided.
