INERTIA Indoor Percussion Ensemble was founded in the summer of 2007 as an
independent indoor percussion unit from Columbus, Ohio.
In its inaugural season, INERTIA will compete as a member of the Mid East
Performance Association (MEPA); the
Ohio Indoor Performance Association (OIPA);
and Winter Guard International (WGI).
INERTIA is a member of Central Ohio Winter Color Guard and Percussion, a 501(c)(3)
non-profit youth organization based in Columbus that exists to share positive
experiences, encourage individual growth through education, nourishment of
leadership skills, discipline, and pride while evoking creativity and artistic
freedom of expression though the combination of pageantry and the performing
arts. Other members of Central Ohio Winter Color Guard and Percussion include
the Art101, XceptOne, Southwest Independent, and Kismet color guards.
INERTIA Indoor Percussion Ensemble is Explorer Scout Post 2107 of the Simon
Kenton Council, Boy Scouts of America.
