Work off your Membership Fees at The Schott!
September 13, 2007
INERTIA Indoor Percussion Ensemble will be operating a concession stand at
selected Ohio State athletic events and concerts held in the Schottenstein
Center and various other venues on campus. All INERTIA members 16 years of age
and over are encouraged to participate in this fundraising activity. All monies
earned at each event will be credited immediately towards your membership fees.
Parents and other family members and/or friends who are 16 years of age or older
are welcome to work at these events as well, and all credit earned by family and
friends is credited towards your fees. Group members in the past have worked
enough events that they did not pay a dime in fees all year long!
All members who sign up will be trained at their first event. A calendar of
athletic events and concerts will be released shortly, as well as a count of how
many members are needed to work at each event.
We will need to have several parents as trained leaders for these events, only
one leader will need to be at each event. If any parents or ensemble members at
least 21 years of age are interested in being a trained leader, please
contact us and we will forward the
training information to you.
The events will begin in early-to-mid November and will run through May, 2008.
We encourage each member to sign up for the earlier events, since the practice
and performance season will begin to run parallel to the athletic events, in
which case, you may wish to arrange to have a parent, family member, or friend
work in your place to continue to earn credit for you while you are away
practicing or performing!
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available!
